Who Should Join?

This program is for the new or beginner home stager that would like to work in an established staging firm or learn how to build their own home staging business. Accredited and non-accredited stagers welcome. If you have just finished a home staging course, this is the best way to get the hands on practice and tutoring you'll need to start working in the field. Realtors, homeowners or anyone that want to gain advanced knowledge of staging design, staging specific business skills and field experience will find no better path to their goals.

At the end of the 3 month program, every graduate will receive a certificate that recognizes the completion of our 3 month field training program. As well, some graduates will receive an opportunity to continue on with The Home Stagers Corp. for a full time career.

Program Description

A 3 month training program that teaches you advanced business and design skills. Learn every aspect of home staging and become a seasoned professional. Not only will we teach you advanced theory, we will focus and develop your skills through live applications. Students in the co-op attend our real life staging jobs and eventually get paid to assist us in these projects. This program will jump start your career by teaching you how to deal with actual staging situations. With these skills you will not be alone, the co-op is a group of like-minded individuals who will support each other and be there to help you when you need help with your own staging endeavours.

The Stager’s Co-op is a 3 month start in the industry. While in the program you will have every opportunity to get paid for your efforts and further your place within The Home Stagers Corporation. As our company expands, leaders will be needed to handle higher levels of responsibility such as; teaching new staging reps, project management, consultations and more.

Getting Started

Your 3 month training with the Stagers Co-op Program starts with your commitment to becoming a home stager. Like anything else in life being a success in your chosen vocation isn’t easy. If it were, everybody would be doing it. Ultimately to be a success you must be very dedicated to the task at hand. We are looking for students that have a ‘never give up’ attitude and are not in this for an easy job source. The Home Stagers Corp took 3 years to become the biggest company in Ontario and they will convey to you that it took complete dedication to do it. That being said, you will obviously have many things provided to you that others starting from scratch do not. There is no better way to get started in any field than to have a successful mentor walking with you every step of the way.

Requirements

To become part of the Stagers Co-op 3 month program, your commitment is as follows:
Attend weekly meetings
Maintain the DO NOT Call List
Stay within your given Directory and/ or price range
Be available for staging sessions
Valid drivers license and own vehicle needed

Payment and Wages

Membership - $1450 You'll receive: a staging handbook, stagers notebook for consultations, certificate for graduation plus opportunities to earn while you learn on live staging jobs and a 39 piece general tool set that includes the following:

    6” Slip Joint Pliers, 8 oz Claw Hammer, 12 ft (3.5 mm) Tape Measure, 18 mm Utility Knife, 8” Scissors, Four Precision Screwdrivers, Bit Driver, Twenty 1” Bits, Eight Hex Keys.

    Wages - Payments to students in the 3 month program will be made after each successful project is completed and The Home Stagers Corp has received payment in full from the vendor. Payment to students is based on a percentage of each job they acquire plus a flat rate determined by the job type. For example:  For a home prepping job of a 4 bedroom property an assistant stager could make $316.25 whereas a lead stager could make $431.25 or more for the same job. A full breakdown of this pay schedule will be provided after acceptance into the program by the directors of the Co-op.

Once you sign up and your payment is received we will be in touch with you with the date, time and location of the next workshop.

You will be contacted shortly after we receive your information to discuss your involvement in the program. To detemine if you are a good fit for the program you will be asked to email your resume, any relevant pictures you have of your work, (if new to this field, pics are optional and you will not be judged according to this) and a brief description why you would like to be a home stager.
